Backup System
In the meantime, we are still working hard making the new page happening as soon as possible!
We made good progress with the user-license-download handling which is intend to make various steps simple and straight forward for our customers
The dilemma of websites
The design and underlying structures are already up and working again, now with a much cleaner and more professional design than the old one.
I'm currently working on the user handling backend and related services like the download. These things are integral to the page as I want to make it as intuitive and straight forward for our customers as possible.
Side a side to it I am also investing some time to make sure that the final 1.5.0 release will be ready with the new page so interested parties can download the demo right away.
GayaSoft page rework
During our recent tests we sadly had to find out that our page and the underlying Joomla Plugins and Modules have some serious flaws that we are not willing to accept. Especially with the shop there have been major problems.
This forces us to rewrite the whole page.
But we see this as a chance because it also gives us the possibility to integrate future things in a much simpler and for our purpose cleaner way. That way we will be able to offer various things we before did not think would be possible for the forseable future.
The 1.5.0 release of Patch File Creator will happen with the start of the new page then. This new page will include more information on the Patch File Creator technology as well as different screenshots. The demo also includes the new documentation.
PFC 1.5.0 now silver
We fixed several crash bugs in the building process and changed some code that was not optimal so far.
We still see a lot of potential for future changes, but we decided that the bug fixes are critical enough to be done as soon as possible.
The only thing remaining thing, on which we are working right now, is a new documentation which can be extended in the future without clutter everything. We also intend to make eachs license types documentation (Demo, Registered and Professional) specific for the given license in a future, so demo users do not have to skip things anymore that they can not use.
Patch File Creator 1.5.0
We are working together with different users of the original technology to fix some bugs.
After that we intend to use the technology to create something that will hopefully be of even more use but that can not be accomplished usefully within the current application. This "something" is what we call PatchLaunch.
We intend we will port and restructure parts the code and make it much more productive for us to fix bugs and implement new features, of which we have quite a few that are hardly possible to be added to PFC.
We believe that the core of PFC contains some very usefull and powerfull technology aspects but that this core has been cluttered with code that restricted it from beeing what it could be and added bugs that are now bugging users.
We don't have anything specific to share right now other than that initial tests have shown a not unsignificant speedup in the build process over the current build process in PFC.
